Ubuntu Linux Hibernation

Hibernation은 디스크에 모든 정보를 기록하고 컴퓨터를 끄는 행위이다.

Suspend는 메모리에 모든 정보를 기록하고 저전력 상태로 들어가는 것이다.

Ubuntu 12.04 부터 Hibernation이 기본으로 비활성화되었다.

hibernate - How to enable hibernation?

sudo vi /etc/polkit-1/localauthority/50-local.d/com.ubuntu.enable-hibernate.pkla에 아래 추가

[Re-enable hibernate by default]
Identity=unix-user:*
Action=org.freedesktop.upower.hibernate
ResultActive=yes

이후 시스템 재시작

Suspend를 없애고자 한다면 sudo vi /etc/polkit-1/localauthority/50-local.d/com.ubuntu.disable-suspend.pkla

[Disable suspend by default]
Identity=unix-user:*
Action=org.freedesktop.upower.suspend
ResultActive=no
